Fixing things

aaargh.

Helped new fridge go in for my Mom, yay, then tried to fix the problem with her stove overhead fan/light, which is a complicated one with 9 screws and 4 parts to remove before you get anywhere interesting--all found while doing a backbend under the unit. After full disassembly, replacement of the logic unit, and reassembly, unit still not working. After second disassembly, not only is unit not working (expected) but the breaker won't reset, so there's a short in the wiring now.

Well, that's going to eat some time. I'm much more in favor of units with wires, switches, and basic functions, rather than anything that has multiple touch pads and sensor logic built in. Luckily, Lou will look at that.

Depressedly came home from that after buying a 50' power cord so that I could work on the lawn...and discovered much of the front fence has blown down. Something to work on in the morning.

Self Diagnosis

Why am I out of sorts?

Had to change schedules for a job that isn't what is was promised to be (nor was I ready for it by any stretch of the imagination.) HOWEVER, that's no excuse for being a whiney wimp.

Don't feel competent much recently; teaching is much much more discipline than I expected. And I thought the material would be hard; the hard stuff is dealing with all the bullshit on various levels.

But the real reason?

I feel horrible--I haven't worked out in over three months. Have sweated a little dancing, but haven't spent an hour at the gym. Woo! Plan G tomorrow morning. It'll suck for 4 days, but be good beyond that (I hope!)

And, for some blessings:

Everything I asked for, and more, I got for Christmas. A haul that I cannot believe--couch and loveseat, new canister vac, ipod shuffle--literally, everything that I asked for. AND, my outgoing gifts made people laugh and be thankful.

I got to dance, every weekend, at Dickens Fair. Meet interesting new people and twirl them around the dance floor. Watch the fair from the inside. 5 weeks of dancing!

Got some new Lodema pottery. Time for a tea party!
