Wierd facts for today: 1. restaurants 2. Oak blight 3. Growth tabs
1. February: Month of the Anniversary of Captain Cook's Death (Feb 14) aaaand
month that I will not dine in restaurants. I need to get both my eating and my spending under control, so I will not eat fast food, go to munches, or eat indoor lunches. I will eat in the context of business meetings.
2. The same family of fungus that caused Irish potato blight causes californian Sudden Oak Death Syndrome. http://nature.berkeley.edu/comtf/
3. You can now buy tabs that will put the right fungi (mycorrhizal) for potting soil to make the plants grow better. http://www.fungi.com/ (now there's a good website!)
Since I routinely mix in the local soil, it's not as needed, but still, cool place.
4. Luddite week isn't working. Hmm.
5. Going to try Blingo; Onion Girl (Tshuma) won an iPod, so perhaps I can too!
