Short Hits: Wow! Wow! Wow!
no, I'm not playing World of WarCrack again.
Sarah and Rusty's California Reception went wonderfully with the Husband and Wife both seeing old friends and both happy. There was too much excellent food, the music got turned off because we were having too much fun talking, the pictures will be fun when they get downloaded and collected, and the babes were cute. Really, I hadn't seen Raoul and Julia's yet, and Celestiel just keeps getting cuter. (Now she's smiling!)
Only downside (well, there's two) is that I can't send the wish wreath to them, as bay laurel carries the Sudden Oak Death fungus. And that there was some minor damage in transport to my brother's music system.
Dress 2 Excess went well, with my favorite dress being the Evil Lizard Queen's, escorted by a soldier, both costumes from FAO schwarz. Well, there was the Evil Disco Dancer and Dandy (Richard and Tracy Powers) and one gentleman with a great coat and ruffles. Everyone looked great. The fact that R. went out and scored two dresses between the events and was able to dance was wonderful.
Sunday I lazed...didn't get anything done. Except for cook dinner with the family for the family, chinese food feed, went off late but the food was good. Note: 3/4 pounds of crab meat is two crabs is $20, it's cheaper to buy the meat out of the crab. But the fresh asparagus and broccoli tips made it very tasty. As well as the fresh crab.
Off to continue the job hunt.
