Notes from PD (Professional Development)
Still have trouble staying awake in long, boring meetings.
Teachers are hot (HAWT. <3, etc.) Dedicated, passionate, educated professionals. OMG!!!! XOXOXO (etc.)
Yep. Consultants are weasels. "Cirricula and Professional Development Firm" == "Management Consultants". Weasels. I asked a few direct questions, and got to watch them weave and dodge.
It's great to talk to other teachers. It's also great to talk to the CEO of the whole thing, and get his take on stuff; that perspective, if honest, is worth a lot. He's not expecting miracles, so hang in, fix things as you can, and keep working with the students. I can do that.
Sunday my Mentor (may she be worshiped) came in and helped me set up my room. I'm going to make a shrine to her at some point.

The moon clearly sees
red leaves, green hills, lit pumpkins
shivering bodies.
Off to plan some more...
