...didn't get sung last night at the Stanford Messiah sing. http://events.stanford.edu/events/9/901/
It was probably the least skilled/worst performed one I've attended, which only highlights the quality of the experience. Everyone in there except the conductor and a few people he recruits (organist, lead violins, some choir from Stanford) just shows up. The orchestra, including trumpets and some flutes and an oboe; the singers, filling the Memorial Church; the people who sell tickets. It's a fundraiser for the Music department there...

This year a lot was missing for me. First of all, my voice; lack of practice meant I was doing a lot of stupid things. Secondly, my two favorite pieces: He Trusted in God and All We Like Sheep. Of course, we still had a number of good pieces, and the program even seemed a little bass heavy to me this year. Thirdly, Kristi; I expect to see her in the violins. And, as well, it just wasn't a good night--the whole performance was more amaturish than I would hope.

THere's another sing on Monday...I should go.
Off to the Boar Hunt!
