Art: Painting, Television, and song
Jan. 6th, 2006 10:57 amPainting: Who painted me? I thought one of Rembrandt's portrait's did a good job, but can't find it online. Poetically, it's really Ogden Nash. In chalk, M. Coffman. (Meme gakked from judith_s)
Television: "House". Intelligent, witty, difficult. "People lie." But most important: It doesn't shy from modern issues, nor overstate them--what show in recent years has had abortion, right to death, difficulties of drug use, conflict between business and service, all as issues of the day, subtext to doing the greatest good and what should one do with life? I could only wish for a few more supporting characters--the nurses most often used, the chaplain, the service people who really make the machine run. I highly recommend this show. Thank you, Genvieve W.
Song: Learning Italian takes more time. I'm gonna have to fake it.
