halloween good.
About half my students out today. At least 3 present were beaten up to some degree. Discussed broken noses, etc. Between that and the fever, quiet day.
Principal sez teaching's going to suck the first two years, but after that I'll have it nailed. I dunno if I wanna stick around that long. Gratification, maybe.
Soup, local (1/2): Trader Joe's Organic chicken broth as base, with farmer's market corn, a carrot, and a spud added. Slivers of smoked duck (farmer's market) for protein; add garlic and ginger, simmer a bit. No need for salt. Very savory. 2 bowls total cost $4.
