I had the great fortune on Saturday of hanging out with two different groups of successful, artistic, beautiful people, and I was struck by some thoughts (as I often am) but took note of them (as one does, not often enough.)

The key to success is persistance and kaizen, always improving. The most creative people there were the people who made the most stuff...Katherine Becvar with her dress, the Neverwas haul crew with their vehicles, Kimric Smythe with his steam engines (and distilled liquor). But the key isn't to have an idea, it's to have multiple builds and some research, to make many things.

My gosh, her gown was amazing...it was totally beautiful.

The waltz teaching I do receives a lot of compliments. It's interesting, writing this here, I do that class a lot and don't think much of it, because, well, I do it a lot...but it gets people who hate dance lessons dancing. Huh. I don't value it as much because it's easy for me because I've polished it so much. Perception!

Huh. Gobsmacked. Off to think about this. And teach waltzing Thursday in SF and Friday in PA, talk with me if you want to come learn.
