Friday Five plus saturday scriptum
Oct. 27th, 2012 10:32 am1. Health. Infection long gone; endurance very low, and leg muscles need rebuilding. Edema a good indicator of bad habits--exercise or swell! Increased fruit good, now to increase veggies.
2. Work. Got to teach a few sessions last week. I'm a fool to do anything else, I love teaching too much, especially project oriented learning.
3. Fall blessings: Fresh myrtle bil berries for bitter bogberry compote. (bilberry/ bog myrtle= cranberry). Fresh apples. Fresh cabbage for rohtkohl and sourkraut. Fresh beets for chocolate cake.
4. Weddings on Halloween...strange to think about.
5. House is painted, garage is painted, fences look great, moving on to new projects. Now that I'm a card carrying member of the California Natives society, time to change the yard.
Bonus Saturday Six:
Hanging out at the Meadery, one group of friends introduces me to someone who is working on Bloxers? http://bloxes.com/#faq (I believe I met Aviva). She has been experimenting. Another group (Deena! and Rick!) bring Celestial (!) who is young. Aviva spends 20 minutes teaching Celestial to make Bloxes. I'm peripheral to the story, except I introduced them, and...my friends are the sort who have friends who are so cool they'll take 20 minutes of their drinking time to work with a child who is barely on the edge of skill...it was cool. It was cool, with booze!
