Moments in the stream of time...
Jul. 7th, 2013 02:40 pmcanceled the trip to Oregon for the cook's playdate; chaos at home and I wanted to go put a lid on it. Lid put.

Saw the Grand Duke, it was very funny. Need to get out to live theater more.
Saw "Much ado" twice, really enjoyed that film.
Lost two coworkers this last week, good ones I respected, one left for another job and the second one apparently died. I'll find out more soon, but it's a reminder that no matter how involved you are, someone leaves town. Best not to put too much weight on work.
Outside of work, health is improving, but it's got a good runup to get back to where it needs to be. Another friend is back in the hospital--sign of the times.
Discussed with J. what I should be doing every day. It's not clear; but what you work on you achieve. I think it has to be exercise...I am very bad at that right now.
Saw both the Lone ranger, which I loved, and love even more the frothing idiocy of many of the reviews--the pacing was very different from other movies, it was a lot more princess bride than carribean pirates. Strangely enough, it was a lot more and a lot less kid friendly than I thought it would be. Don't take a young child to it. I think they could have edited it easily to be kid friendly (mainly, cut the cannabalism scene and edit the Ranger Slaughter down) (which is one long scene) but it was still a hyperviolent movie in the weird west.
Turns out the Minions are speaking pigden french, which tickles my funnybone. Gateau! Gateau!
Wedding went very well last weekend; an overflowing of love and family. yay!
Wow, not my writing best today. Getting woken up with news of death doesn't suit me, I think.
