Status Check

Didn't make the war, lack of prep work causing too much stress. So, staying home to prep. Leaving phone away from me, and in a moment, that other distraction, the computer.

In 1776, a group of businessmen intent on securing tax advantages over the govenment which had kept them safe from internal and foreign problems (French and Indian War) and was not even making back the governmental investment reluctantly agreed, after being harangued in a drug den (caffiene) to look for a better way. Although less than 20% of the population approved, they did declare Independence. So when the local CEO's ship your job to India, don't despair, it's an American thing to do. (And, in a bigger picture, if your job can be better done halfway around the world for half as much money, perhaps you need a better job--stand up, step up, overcome.)

Enough Rant.

I agree that when they call while you're still on administrative leave and covered by your severence package, it shows how good a job you were doing.

... but when they call a year later, it just shows that they made a mistake.

Agreed.
