Ow

Turned on the water to water the tomatoes, leaning over the hose winder. The hornets who have decided to next in the hose minder took umbrage and stung me 3 times, finger, arm and back. We'll have a discussion about renter perogatives and privacy a little after dark.

With a stick.

Ow!

Ouch! Sorry!! Ice helps.

Say did you know there is a spray that's non-toxic to the environment that you can use to get 'em from a distance? Psychic_frog's store probably has it in stock.

I pulled out a 30 year old window air conditioner today. There were two wasp nests and a large and very lively black widow in there. My helper and I did not get stung or bitten, luckily.

Home is a dangerous place.

Ooh, sorry to hear that. A paste of baking soda + water is also soothing.

Good luck negotiating with your renters. I hope they are receptive and don't try any retribution!

Get rid of the hornets, I said.
I kinda like them around, he said.
Things sting and hurt, I said.
Hey, we're in their environment, he said, while drilling out more holes for them to live in at his house.
You're a little crazy, I observed.
Hey, I gotta be me, he shouted over the drill.
In the distance, I watched the tiny circling stinging things buzzing through the afternoon sky. Very zen, I thought.

Maybe they were drawn in by 'the spores'?
