Thoughts Bouncing Around My Head

Bad week. No Biscuit! At least no 6 year old wolves though...

1. No Mr. Scully, while it would be nice that things got better, the dream that fed the creation of the public school system died when Reagan and Bush kilt it like a bahr. And the "We're so mad we're going to take the money away because you haven't kept your promises" right wing is getting madder, and they are gullible enough to take other money away...

What with the corprotization of America, and the
lack of bake sales for Wars that Bush Decides On, and the fear based selling (worked for Viagra, and Paxil, now for politics!) that the various media mongers (Koch thinktanks and Murdoch properties) use, the school system will just get more and more disfunctional.

And it depresses me.

So, no, Josh, it doesn't get better. Knowing that a bunch of senior teachers are retiring doesn't open up the schools much either.

2. Pickles are good. Today: Pickled Beets (known as marinated beets) so that I can have an Australian Burger sometime later. Perhaps tonight. Beet Root!

3. This weather is wierd. Well, all weather is wierd, but the temperatures are convincing me to start seeds....it's almost warm enough for TOMATOES and the seed companies haven't even shipped yet...gonna be a strange summer.

4. Started a diet Monday. Up 5 lbs by Tuesday. Abandoned diet. Thinking if I binge eat this weekend, will have lost the weight by Monday. Exercise instead!

5. Small habits everyday will always beat big ideas done once in a while.

And that's the not-quite-Friday 5.

Cheers John! Don't give up yet. There are cycles for everything. I figure once they hit bottom, there's no place to go but up!

Do the Aussies really put pickled beets in their burgers? Sounds good. I think I'd like to try that. I love pickled beets.
