5 Ruminations from Clockwork Alchemy

1. When I exert myself to be friendly and welcoming, it has marvelous effect.  And this affect is natural to me.  It seems to my eye that I am more social than most; when I forget this, I sail by many interesting people.
2. Dress, dress, dress!   I desire now some collars, and the vests I have are sufficient.
3. Once again, the most stunning pieces of costume I have are gifts.  The green vest of Flowers of the Lily.  The Nautical coat.  The stock Oriental.
4. I simply must arrange for more dancing!
5. And the making of things.  I found the Tea Engine simply delightful!

Hiya John,

Maybe you can help me.. Fearghus has expressed interest in getting a "steampunk"-esque suit coat. I'm wondering if you know where one of appropriate size could be acquired.. or if you have a pointer to someone/somewhere that will be able to fulfill this type of commission.

Thanks
Sylvie

1. High End: Coats made to fit (Bespoke) work on large guys: www.MrAlanjeffries.com Great work.

2. SCA: Use a big viking coat, add a tophat. No, really, this works. I have a turkish coat I wear all the time.

3. Buy a used set of Tails. Add accesories. E'en spell them right. Steampunk is all about the accessories.

(Bonus) Lab coats good.
(Double bonus) Western gear good--note that Steampunk includes the American West, so Cowboys work. Just accessorize it.

But really, it's wide open.
