Yah for going to the gym! I love the ab machines. Crunch cruch crunch. But I hear I'm weird that way. I also like the machine where you twist your torso and it provides resistance. Yeah. Ok. I'm tres strange.

I have heard tell that if one does at least 30 minutes of aerobic exercise before one lifts weights, one is more likely to burn more calories. The logic behind this, I hear, is that one's heart rate will remain elevated after the aerobic activity (IOW during the weight lifting activity). The old logic behind wanting to do aerobic activity before weights was that one's muscles would be better warmed up and risk of injury reduced. Either way, it seems like a good thing to do.

If I manage to drag my bottom to the gym, I always try to do at least 30 minutes on a bike or treadmill or something like that. If I don't go to the gym and I manage to drag my butt out of bed to exercise, I try to get in an hour's worth of aerobic activity (I do this primarily by riding my bicycle....yes, I have a bike with pedals!).

Maybe I'll borrow a cup of your motivation. (:
