Scattershot thoughts:

1. The bugs down by the river are more numerous.
2. Beorn and Hilary are cool. And I have to go visit again and BEAT THEM AT THAT STUPID QUATTRO GAME.
3. Bought Boots in Red Bluff. Waterproof. Now have two pairs of worthy boots, good. Boot guy is a harley rider, somewhat amused at my projected milage. Recommended good (pricey, but GOOD) boots.
4. Thank you Hilary for the dried strawberries. Perfect.
5. Salem OR is where the traffic gets bad.
6. Oregon plains reminded me of Kansas. I'm not in Kansas anymore.
7. Next time, try to get on the road BEFORE noon, if you think the drive will take 10 hours. (Took 9, not counting bootbuying.)

Any questions? No? Good.

2. Beorn and Hillary *are* cool :)

3. [cue music] "These boots are made for ridin'; that's just what I'll do. One of these days the boots are gonna ride all over you!" [/music]

6. You and me both, Toto, you and me both.

7. Always a good plan :-D

There's some lovely hatches in early summer along the ricefields & river area in the Upper Sac Valley!! Normally it coats the windshields in some water & soap proof bug goo, necessitating at least two "windshield wash" stops (1 in Williams, and 1 in Willows) during my travels up to Red Bluff!

Glad to hear you're having fun & enjoying yourself!!! =)
