Slowing down, NO!

Novel writing proceeds. Not hitting the word goals, going to be less social until the end of the month. Play going well, reblocked the fight scene tonight to the director's amusement, but I still maintain it's bad technique and bad stage fighting to ask the umpty year experienced swordguy to "think like a six year old. Girl." That's a STRETCH! Cars all running, but still having minor problems--think the battery in the BMW is damaged. Trying to get back into travel mode, failing, but...

Enjoying cooking very much. Did Dinner Saturday (Purple theme) and Sunday (Frittata) and Pumpkin Chili today. Next weekend, 4 onion soup. Later this week, baked pumpkin with afghan sauce if I can figure out the herbs.

Working out needs to drop back into my life. :)

A number of years ago, I attended a presentation at Arisia on stage fighting for theatre and film.
It made a lot of stage fighting make a lot more sense, although I must observe that stage-fighting looks almost as much unlike actual combat as one can imagine (afterall, in actual fighting, you generally don't want to telegraph what you're about to do next...)

All in the name of making sure that the audience will be watching where you want them to, and that they'll be able to see the action when it happens.

I know fight choreography

enough to do it. But this isn't fight choreography. Of course, two Santas monologuing while fighting with a stuffed fish and a broom or a blow up sword and a broom...but still, aiee!

Much easier now that I get to be physically menacing at the very cute 20 year old. (And what does that say about me?)

Are you writing from a prepared set of concepts, like lists of character qualities, and plot sequences, or using another organization fashion, or winging it?

WInging it with a flightplan...

the world generated itself from some logical ideas; the characters are sketched out, and their interaction moves the plot forward. Need more conflict somehow... need more words! The goal is to write 50,000 words of crap! 14K so far. Need to up the rate.
