Two examples: The universe is listening.
Well, the hives are starting to be less of an issue, which is good. Will stay on a bland diet for another week and start adding things back in. Dance (Friday Night Waltz) was lovely.
Hey, Selkie, come dancing! Lotsa nice boys dance these days. Man, lots more people should be dancing. (so why don't you invite them, John?)
I was talking Thursday with a lovely lady, and somehow came around to the statement that yes, I'd marry a Jewish woman, and yes, the children could be raised Jewish. It's not a big deal to me; it was a little bit of a joke. Tonight at the dance I sat down, and a friend threw a woman into my lap, who looked at me, smiled, and snuggled in. I rubbed her back. She was wearing a thumb ring with stars of david on it. Turns out she's SCA familiar, danced, and likes to talk, and flirts well.
The universe is listening. Or at least Jehovah was.
At the dance I was talking to a friend about life, the universe, and sideral movement. We discussed sailing, and hang gliding, and windsurfing (he's an instructor) and waltzing, and unemployment. He recommended that I just go ahead and take advantage of the time. The market is heating up; my standards are changing. Sign up for all the dance events I feel like, and live! I kinda wanted to be a teacher so I could do just that.
On the way out the door Richard Powers stopped and recommended I come on the Prague-Paris trip; it would be perfect for me, he said.
The universe is listening.
So ask for what you seek, but be careful--you will have to deal with the answer.
As an aside, this 10 things meme? I haven't done anything that unusual. The smaller community here doesn't share all of them. But I do have amazing talented brave friends. Yes, you. Friends who make things, or make things happen. Friends who put effort into improving the world. Friends who lose their way and find it again. Friends who dance, and do martial arts, and create art, and motorcycle, and are really cool.
Thank you!

Do they teach at the FNW? I haven't done anything like that in so long I've forgotten how. I may have to wait until that all-day-long-class-thing this summer, but then I can't decide which track I want to do. :->
Yes!

I'm still kind of bemused by your response to the ten unusual things game. When we talked about it, you said just what you said above. Then you told a story about the kind of adventure that only comes along once in a lifetime, filled with unique and memorable experiences.
Maybe you haven't done ten unusual things that can be summed up in a single sentence.
