Prova Dura
PIcked my brother up at the airport Friday night, so I rolled into Provo on Saturday morning, missing the rain but also almost the lists. Bonus points and thanks to torlanswingmeister/Francis/Vyncent who signed me up, especially given that they told him he would have to fight in my place.
Tumbled in, signed up, armored up; Invocation by households was interesting--Rolf's household turned out much better than I had ever seen them before. I kept expecting Beck to turn out. Elena was looking amazing in her red German.
After Invocation, and the introduction of Grendel's Gates (small barriers in the middle of the fields to fight over) we divided into 3 fields. WIth 44 fighters, there were two fields of 15 and ours of fourteen. Rather than run a straight round robin, there was some form of bye fighting (which I didn't really understand).
In the salutes of every fight ...computer out of power! More tomorro!
