Just saw the pictures from the parties;

Oy. Shock and dismay. Non-realization. Aieeeee. Boy, I'm fat.

I know, the scale tells me, and my clothes tell me, but my internal image doesn't tell me. My internal image is "round but strong and graceful". My external image is VERY ROUND.

The parties went off great, thanks to the people involved. If you weren't there, sorry; the first one was explicitly for throwing kids in the pool and limited by amount of kid landing zone available. (Total 9 kids in the pool.) The second one was dancing, and I didn't do well on the invites. Well, 30 (40? hmm. 123456 7890123 4567 89012 345678 90123 45 6 ...yeah, somewhere in there) Guys, if you think you should come, or want to consider coming, ask.

The surprise for me in the second party is how popular the polka is, and how many balloons fit in my car. The win was the games; the Vampire Tango was sillier than expected, and the musical chairs more skillful.

The surprise in the first party was how poorly a few people mixed; not what I had expected, although in retrospect...
Now, on to making wedding things work.

Sorry for my absence. My on-call week kept me up through the night Saturday and by the time I pried myself awake the following day your party (as per the schedule you sent me) was half over. May I treat you to dinner this coming weekend, perchance?

Meh, I need to do that too. Wasn't feeling good yesterday, so many abject apologies for missing your party, John. Can I bribe you with food to forgive this ghastly faux pas on my part? ;)

Sometime!

But this weekend I'll be away. Sorry to have missed you (on CALL!) as Loudog and Kurt wanted to meet and hang a bit.

So... Lets go for a ride somewhere and take a hike. ^_^

About the balloons... Heeheehee.... *ahem* *giggles a bit more* *ahem* *laughs* ^_^

It was decided that you should have that warm after-party glow to take home with, as a pleasant reminder of the fun that was had. Did it work? ~.^

Depends...

I sit at traffic lights, popping the balloons with a knife and grinning. _I'm_ having fun.

That's right - happy birthday! (Yesterday, wasn't it?)

The day of the party...

I'll never forget your graduation party from SCU, where the hangover from my birthday/graduation party hit...OW!

I think that whole weekend was one big traveling party with hangover.

What wedding?

I'm very sorry I didn't make it. I woke up at 12:51, and wasn't really mobile until after 3:00, at which point dressing up and being around a large group of people just wasn't happening for me. So...

(ahem)

Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday to you,
Happy birthday dear [livejournal.com profile] learnteach,
Happy birthday to you.

Vytas and Clair's.

Oh, and yes, I understand the inner vs. outer you problem. I periodically get stopped short by my reflection in store windows, since I don't look like that.

Sorry we missed the dancing. Naps ran late, and then A insisted on pool time when we tried to drop him at my parents' (he loved the pool party!).

Would love to take you out to dinner sometime in honor of the spiffy-numbered-day.

How about a walk instead?

Once I get over the "stay indoors and don't be seen..."

I'm always up for an evening stroll. If we do it early the little guy can be strollered with us.

Again, sorry I didn't make it to your party. I just still wasn't feeling well. I'll see you soon!
