THUD good.
Police Procedural, focusing on Sam Vimes. And his Anger, the Beast. And Dwarf Mine Sign and Troll Graffiti, and the truth of Koom Valley.
Wow. Once again, Pratchett takes you to a place you thinks you know, and shows you there's so much more to see. Not a good book for those who haven't seen the territory already, but still worth it. Even his throwaway moments are strong...

Ooooooooo!
I didn't know this was coming out. The Watch series are far and away my favorite Diskworld books. And I think NightWatch was one of Pratchett's best (if not the best) books.
I've just ordered it from my friend, Amazon. Too bad I'll be gone this weekend and won't be able to read it right away!
