Well, I'm supposed to be at Crown, but I'm not motivated;

so I spent the morning digging at the tree, washing dishes, organizing stuff, trying to get the wireless up, etc.

Rickytickymacboie asked 2 (two) questions about how I had things set up, and got it up and running. Make the router an ethernet host and ignore the PPPoE, and it works. Too dang simple! Woo! Network!

Tree a much bigger project than originally forseen, but I'll keep digging at it (literally.)

No substitute work yet; I'm enrolled with the district, but don't have any contacts, so no teachers are putting my name in, and they're not out sick yet anywho. Hmm. How committed to this am I?

Crown right now, Great Western War next week, but I'm not ...well,

the reality is, I'm a goalie. Hanging out for a difference doesn't work because I hang out all the time right now, and going to events of course takes time and effort, much of which I'm either wasting or spending getting things done. Bike is fixed and only needs the crashbars back on; and I now own a manual (thanks [livejournal.com profile] tugrik). Tree mostly dug. Court date for ticket set.

I need a plan which will occasion goals. Sigh. Anybody got a spare? That trick never works, you have to grow your own.

wandering off...

(Extra ellipses for Cynthia.)

PS: What address for the Lego Mindstorm, oh ericparents?

...

oh, like wow, ... y'know, I think that you really have to ... right? I'm sure you agree that ... and everyone's against me.

At any rate, even in this special example of yours, those aren't too many elipses.

What district are you enrolled with? I don't know if it works this way at all districts, but at my district a lot of the subs get work even if they aren't a teacher's first pick because the subs with connections always get snapped up first. Teachers will then often pick the "next available" option. This is a good way for teachers to find new favorite subs (and for subs to make contacts with teachers). That's what happened last year with one of the teachers whom I worked with.

That's what I'm shooting for. With any luck, I'll get a lot of work.

I should say, our district is electronically managed; the computer automatically calls the next on the list; teachers rarely get to pick their subs unless it's a long-term, expected absence.

Teacher options include tutoring classes and such. My brother is starting into this after 30 years at NASA. He likes teaching High School students, though is considering teaching the obnoxious gits (Grad Students) as well.

We've been sick, but are getting better.

Gizbot, do you have a brother in Eastern PA, by any chance? You remind me strongly someone I know who lives there.

Must be another Cynthia, I'm not an ellipsis diva.

Hi -- I'm another Cynthia. I was ranting over in my LJ about a bubblehead on one community who couldn't be bothered to write in complete phrases (much less sentences) and used ellipses everywhere.
