It's NaNoWriMo, or National (now International) Novel Writing Month. www.nanowrimo.org is the site. One pledges to write a novel (a work of fiction of 50K words) within a month, starting November 1st, ending Nov. 30 at midnight. It'll be fun, but exhausting. I'm in the California-South Bay region as genrez, writing a fantasy novel (for my nephew. It will involve Australia. More than that I figure out this weekend.)
