learnteachI hereby declare:
1. That I AM going to get the BMW running, whack the seat once, and then sell the thang. I don't need it; between the bike and the van I'm covered. Even though all three vehicles need work. On the market by the end of next month. To do: Take door apart and look at window/lock problem; pull seat and reset/replace broken ratchet and frame member, find short, get it started, and suss out wiring. Anybody want a black 735i?
2. If you pull a recipe off the internet, and don't trust it, go with your gut. The Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese frosting had waaaaaaay too much liquid in it; of course, part of that is my experimenting. Learning experience, don't know if I've ever baked a cake from scratch. What I ended up with is a Carrot Spice Upside Down Cake with Cream Cheese Glaze. Works for me, hope it works for Rick and Deena, it's a going away gift to them. Sniff.
3. I'm going to do more things in groups of people. I stay much more focussed when a group has a goal, than when I sit alone working on things. Too much non-social time in my life relating to goals. Thus, I'm going to scrape up the cash for Aikido and start next month at least twice a week.
4. Libraries ROCK. Rock, roll, bluegrass and swing. DVD's too! Books!
5. Time to set some discipline back in my life: gym every day, writing every day. century? Dunno.
6. I declare, I know some insanely cool people and have done some amazing things with them. Riding halfway accross the continent two different directions. Dancing around the world in place and style. Walking to the Bay for Boobs. Fighting my way through 5 different charities. Singing in the band, the choir, the church, the school, and the drunken campfire circle. Santa and Shakespeare and stagetime. Women, wine and song...
...at least I'll always hate Paris! :)
