Wow.
Just came back from Christmas Caroling in finery in the City...wow. Perfect weather, great Irish coffee and irish singer at the end, Union Square, Nob Hill, Tonga Room, Buena Vista.
Wow.
Running into an old friend who had been listening to a show out on the Balcutha.
Gotta live life like this more.
The lead in sucked, but tramping through the city in tails singing, and riding the Cable car all over, rocked.

Next time you are riding the cable car and have a ticket anyway, know that you can take the nob hill cable car to the other side of the hill and it has a stop merely two or three blocks from our place (I forget if that direction is on California or Washington but I think the line goes from California st to North Beach). That way you can drink all the rum and eggnog you want and simply crash on our spare futon and then enjoy the following morning at one of the many fabulous places for brunch the next day.
