Solstice!
Beginning of the new year, to some. This new year, I'll get into a program to become a teacher;
I'll remember to put the backwork into being prince; I'll run the banner for the Mists and have fun doing it. On fighting, I'll replace the legs so my back doesn't hurt so much, and spend more time stretching. Back into Aikido! Roll with the ukemi!
Got a new roommate at some point, my Father. Should be interesting; it's nice to be able to return the aid he gave me right after college. We'll find him a nice place in Nevada, but I'd like to have him local for a few months.
Food is a drug--and so is exercise. Fat, sugar, caffiene, and the subtler things. Salad, yay!
The dinners promised will be held.
Thoughts on Last Year:
Lot of good deeds and dreams achieved, but not a lot of obvious outward motion. I helped a few friends move back to the area in various ways, and am richer for having closer friends. Dated and it didn't work that way, but have another friend in my life. Danced a lot, drunk a little, drove a while. Saw Europe and Germany and burningman through Danish Raver eyes. Drove across the country to a conference on medieval thangs with friends, reading books aloud. Worked on the house a little.
Relaxed a lot.
Was in the Haunted House, but not the Christmas Fundraiser play. Saw more theater, esp. local, and local music: Gypsy Soul, and Henry Rollins. Taught fighting and fought, and take inspiration from those around me. Held a couple good dinners and parties, and more to come.
Did some counseling. Performed two weddings, both of which were excellent. No funerals, but some grief counseling.
And now, a season of celebration, gatherings, dancing, and being with friends. Woo!
