Wooah! Life is good. Water pump froze up on the van on the way to SF, serpentine belt broke, power steering etc. stopped working. Van drifted to the left, but I wrestled it back around.

NOT DEAD YET! So spent part of the afternoon shopping at Piazzia's (?) on Hillsdale at 92.

In the City, heading out to dinner, riding back. Get to drink! Hedonism!

The $600 is going to suck. Hitting another vehicle and having to pray to St. Teresa instead of sending thanks, that would REALLY suck. Knowing that I could call on so many people to help? Priceless.

Thanks Deena for coming and getting us!

I'm glad you are okay

That's 2 friends who have walked away from a car crash lately. We'll have no more of that, folks.

Um....hopefully you mean the crashing part, not the walking away part? ;-)

Oops. It's moments like this that make me realize I'm not a professional writer.

I meant to say "We'll have no more auto crashes or near misses, folks."
And add "Everybody get healthy and stay that way, okay?"

In This Case, Walking Away Is A Good Thing

Congratulations on wrestling it to a halt. Have had to do similar things once or twice, so you have all my sympathy and admiration! I agree with you, $600 isn't bad, considering all the alternatives.

Hang in there!
