This is from someone who wishes I did that credential thing years ago, but was always distracted by things in the present. I'm not willing to work days, and do school at night for a few years to make it happen (for a job that pays less than what I make now).

Go get the credential! When you are searching for direction, the best place to be is in school, then you can make choices afterwards year by year to satisfy your mood.

My father's biggest disappointment in me was that I didn't take up the family business. He said it keeps you young. Many teachers in my family for several generations.
