Third week of January. Fourth? Third. Whatever. Not getting out of house much. After a fabulous lunch/coffee up near the airport, I came back on 280, and poked down the side streets by Crystal Springs Res. and tried to hit some stores in Pala Olto (closed on Mondays.)
Went and talked with my Mom, who floored me. After asking about progress, and listening carefully to my detailed listing of what's up, she told me she'd fund the teacher's certificate if I wanted that.
Wow. Just...wow. That's like $20K, minimum...at Santa Clara. Wow.
I don't need her to fund it, I just need to either go for it, or go back into the sales game with the intent to win. And I can't decide which.

Date: 2006-01-26 08:15 am (UTC)I've been reading your posts the last while. Go for teaching. You always sound so happy when you talk about it. The engineering sales job, meh, pays well but it's just a job. I don't get any sense that you get "juiced" from it. What good is money if you spend your day draining yourself out? One of the plus things about being single w/ no offspring (I can testify) is that you don't have to make a lot of money to get by.
