Spring is sprung;

the grass is hacked/ by the lawnmower it's been attacked/the mustard and nasturtium bloom/ time to weed and give them room/ the stump, the fence, the lemon tree/ all need time and attention from me/ but spring brought out a well thought gift/ rain, so that I can practice water thrift/ and with the rain comes the desire/to lie in bed with book, to retire!/or in the kitchen to celery stalk/and with beef bones make a nice stock/or see the Sunshine at Kabul's/merry, I am one of Fortune's Fools!
Week of Art continues with Genvieve. Explored the art of singing on Saturday night/Sunday on the way back from FNW Formal (Very nice, well worth attending.) and at mass--SCU choir was there. Then the art of pleasant conversation and little bits of food at Mings. Then, wandering about the City, including Sausolito, over the bridge and through Presidio, the Haight, Ocean Beach, Castro, and part of the Mission.
I need to get someone local to show me more of the wonders of San Francisco. PomegraniteGirl is too busy, I'll have to tap Oregon Green-Tye. There's always Adina (who has a soda named after her.) And RT Deenasweetie, who finally explained what House and Trance are, and then M. Phoenixnester helped it further.
Today: cooking beef stock, lunch at Kabul's, making French Onion soup. Soup better this time, didn't burn the onions. Well, I did, but then I threw them out and cooked it again. 4 white onions, 2 cups burgandy, 1tsp garlic, 1 stick butter. Needs more salt.
Onward!
