Notes worth knowing. For me, at least.

1. [livejournal.com profile] g0atface is right. It's very sunny out there.
2. Theme of April: Make my friends exercise for me. Woo! So far working very well. Today, moving and a church work party. Perhaps.
3. ZZtop is right, Every Girl's Crazy for a Sharp Dressed Man. Or at least amused; the Utilikilt plus tails plus tophat certainly makes them smile when I go dancing by.
4. Writing on yourself while looking in a mirror is wrong; remember to just look down and write it.
5. Failing to get work from multiple schools will be more fun than failing to get work from one district. So, I'm signed up with Kelly Education Services, whose motto is "Never touch the students." Well, no, but they told me that 5 times. I think they were trying to impress "Don't shag 'em" politely on the Substitute candidates.

On #5, another translation would be "No matter how tempting, heaving a brick at the students really won't solve anything."

Well, if you're practicing for a Brick throw competition...

Ah, but the point isn't "Don't hit them" the point is really "Don't do anything that an emo 15 year old with innocent eyes, large breasts and knowledge gained from watching TV can misconstrue as "sexual" and start the procedings that get you fired, her attention and Kelly to have to pay lawyers."

Having worked Special Education a few times, it's pretty obvious that this could/might/has happened, and as the teacher, you're hosed from the moment the complaint is made. It's too risky for them not to just fire you with prejudice--especially as a substitute.

I don't really ever feel like hitting anyone, frankly. I'd be in a worse state if I had to go through what they go through. Of course, I'm not faced by me, or someone that porportionally larger.

yikes. what a different perspective it must be to be a man teaching high school. Do you think there's a bias, to where they feel it necessary to repeat "Do Not Touch" simply because you're a guy? sad if so....

I am mostly bummed I am not allowed to lock them in cages or sound proof booths! :-D

But I didn't see any cameras; this was a normal Friday Night Waltz.

I'll dress well later and have a picture taken.
