Going backwards in time...

Burner party fun; saw flags again, worshiped at the Church of Silk briefly. KB'Z dyed flags are amazing; one pair is butterfly wings (actually Papayas) and the other, fire. Spinning flags under blacklight really adds. Tried it, OMG much more forgiving than poi, have a lot to learn. Bought a couple pieces of silk to make practice flags from, think I may add an optional stick for reach control. More on these thoughts later...

Memorial and Wake and Takeaway. Took a guest home, that was lovely, but the bridge back WAS truely blocked up. After a bit of wandering fell into service mode, works well for me. Grabbed some stuff for other people, said Hi/Bye to LAH (Box of Ashes mode), threw some stuff on the barby, failed to make hot salsa. Goal: Make Duncan cry with the heat of one of these batches, he laughed again at my m4d s4ls4 skllz. 'Cause it's "good, but waaaaay toooo mild." If he wasn't so right I'd tell him, but he is, so I agree.

Brought home a short stack of books, most of the Pratchett; I'll release them onto bookcrossing in the week. http://www.bookcrossing.com/home
Spiral wrap, will probably take to BM and leave at the temple. Bear for the bear people, book for Fionn, book perhaps for Martin.

Helped carry a lot of boxes down. Talked with people. Remember to tell Maythen about the upcoming beltings. Talked with Quinn, talked with the same Aunt who was at lighthand's wedding. Visited again the garden (the blackberries own again, as large as they ever were) and the moto parking place I installed is still looking good. Weird to walkthough the house.

Picked up two random decks of Tarot cards; I'll learn them and start doing readings again.

There will be some form of Bardic at June Crown in honor.

Went to Weird Stuff Warehouse, bought switch for project, asked and got $5 worth of broken motherboards for KB's Tech Tribal jewelry, glad I asked, they had purple motherboards--perfect for her. Picked up a little silk for flags, yay. Went down to the church and helped with the lighting.

Very nice dinner party in the Oakland hills on Friday; simple food (Ceasar salad, spaghetti with veggie sauce, barbeque chicken, tirimisu and fruit for dessert) and an interesting crowd of people. Going to hold such things now that there is room in my house. It's time again. Borgia! Shakespear! Pratchett Feed (one city, one witches).

HTHS: Interview is now monday. Off to prep for it!

Sounds like a good weekend.

flags are really neat, that's what I would like to do for Burning Man this year...although just getting to attend may be all I have the bandwidth for (so maybe next year or the next).

Thanks for the heads up about the bardic at June Crown. I'll be there.

Lunch on Friday was super. It was great to hang with you as always. and I look forward to the next time.

A fiber geek asks: what's this about silk flags? "Unpack" please?
