Foolish Wisdom
Feb. 25th, 2003 10:27 amWisdom is I stay employed as long as possible. The fact that my job has devolved into slightly technical customer management, and the sales team I am working with doesn't value me due to various reasons, means that it's foolish wisdom. As another friend said, why make money when you're only going to spend it on psych bills and happy pills? But the job environment is harsh, and unlike the Fool in the tarot deck, I do not want to step off that cliff--sure, sometimes you fly, but more often you go "splat".
Another odd thing...I committed that I would stay in this position for two years. Two year anniversary is next week. What then? What commitment should I make to myself? Any promise has a high chance of coming through...
But why am I being foolishly wise rather than a wise fool, the role I am much better at?
