So, there's been this ongoing customer problem, which I've been working for the past 4 months. So, I'm leaving tomorrow on vacation, and have a huge amount of things to do, both to secure the house to a nicer state (so I don't have to deal with disaster when I return), and prep and pack gear, and finish up some work things that haven't been done.

So, I played too much PlanetSlide this weekend.

Ah. Well, then, the 2 PM visit the vendor appointment of the aforementioned problem has run into snags. If I leave (for a week) I don't think (from experience) anything will be done. So, I've pushed these guys to stay late and work on it...

Well, it's now 7; figure two more hours. Airport shuttle arrives at 4:30 tomorrow morning. I HATE starting vacations like this, expecially since I didn't get a chance to update my co-workers on the status of things.

About 3 hours more work, and 3 hours of house, and 2 hours of packing...gee, something's going to be screwed over.

Oh, and the trip organizer warned me that her flight might get delayed, in which case I'm in charge the first day.

And all of this for an idiot salesguy who won't ever push back at the customer, and a manager who is too scared of losing his job to change anything.

Slept outside for my birthday. My, that's a comfy couch.

Stress =/= sex drive. Go figure.

Went to several parties Saturday night. At both of them, the crowds were ... Standard? That is, of the crowd I knew, I knew all of them. THe 20somethings (and younger) friends of the second parties organizer I didn't know, and did talk to a bit, which makes me somewhat special, as there was very very little crosscommunication.

Of course, now I want a Shakira album.

The hostess of the party, LE, popped champagne when I arrived, proposed a toast...and it was to my birthday. WOW! That was cool. I need to do something nice for her.

Someone else (NaCLrock) arranged a birthday card blitz with illegible signitures. I recognized her handwriting. THe funny thing was, they were supposed to be mailed from all over, and I immediatlye thought: Wait, these are all from within 50 miles. What about Boston, Austrailia, etc?
