learnteachSo, there's been this ongoing customer problem, which I've been working for the past 4 months. So, I'm leaving tomorrow on vacation, and have a huge amount of things to do, both to secure the house to a nicer state (so I don't have to deal with disaster when I return), and prep and pack gear, and finish up some work things that haven't been done.
So, I played too much PlanetSlide this weekend.
Ah. Well, then, the 2 PM visit the vendor appointment of the aforementioned problem has run into snags. If I leave (for a week) I don't think (from experience) anything will be done. So, I've pushed these guys to stay late and work on it...
Well, it's now 7; figure two more hours. Airport shuttle arrives at 4:30 tomorrow morning. I HATE starting vacations like this, expecially since I didn't get a chance to update my co-workers on the status of things.
About 3 hours more work, and 3 hours of house, and 2 hours of packing...gee, something's going to be screwed over.
Oh, and the trip organizer warned me that her flight might get delayed, in which case I'm in charge the first day.
And all of this for an idiot salesguy who won't ever push back at the customer, and a manager who is too scared of losing his job to change anything.
