Status: Good
Jul. 19th, 2009 11:36 amInjury healing apace, no exact prognosis of "done". To clarify, I'm actually fully functional--I can walk, run, dance, no pain, no worries, but that's not the Doctor's orders. I can drive my car and climb into the way high up van. I can be in polite company.
The required wound care regimen is easy, and mainly consists of getting the leg up. If I don't do it, after about 8 hours the wound will hurt a little bit, and I'll be cranky, especially because I know I'm not healing.
The really cranky thing is dealing with filing the paperwork; I'm getting conflicting answers, people who won't accept or return calls, and while the same department is responsible for patient billing and charity applications, the energy is devoted one way.
There's a TMI post about wetpacking, but you can figure that out yourself. Also, I need to avoid tempting activities in the heat, because that will promote leaking. Eww.
So, plan for now: FOLLOW Doctor's Orders. Leg up, hot pack, wound care.
