you need to find some incredibly inspirational project that will suddenly turn them all around and make them a team! it happens in the movies all the time! or just torture them by making them watch said bad inspirational movies about nasty high school students who come around. start with "Fame", and then play the sound track softly in the background during class when they get uppity. if nothing else, you'll scar them by getting songs stuck in their heads.
