School going better. Dickens Gearing up. NaNoWriMo not even started. Flu ending. Move along.

School--they threw out about 10 kids; it's made a world of difference. Very little posing, no fighting, less problems. Bad: Turns out they want us to work Thanksgiving week while the students are off; didn't bother to tell us. I've already worked most weekends, and will be working during that week, I don't see the point of big pointless meetings...oh, and I'll be working the Saturday of that week. Ick!

Still have over 80% failing the first class. Getting them on task requires extreme methods. Don't quite know what to do about it. Certainly, they don't want to be there, don't want to learn, and just don't care.

Dickens: Yep, I'll be working Fezziwig's and dancing for about 5 weekends, modulo taking a day off to recover in there somewhere. Finish workshops this weekend and get costume approval and I'll be good to go. That should be interesting.

Just haven't had time for Nano, bad me!

Flu: mostly done, just a dry cough now.

There it is. Not too exciting.

you need to find some incredibly inspirational project that will suddenly turn them all around and make them a team! it happens in the movies all the time!
or just torture them by making them watch said bad inspirational movies about nasty high school students who come around. start with "Fame", and then play the sound track softly in the background during class when they get uppity.
if nothing else, you'll scar them by getting songs stuck in their heads.
