1. What/when was your first event?
A little St. David's thing that Linda took me to...in like 76? Wow. A little bit of everything.
2. What was your first war?
Burro Creek I for major; Crusade of the Leaf for first war fought in. Back when Paul and Ben trained the Southern Shores wall, and it was an effective unit.
3. What is your favorite part of an event?
Being surprised by something cool. Playing with friends.
4. What A&S skill/talent do you have or wish you had?
I wish I could seriously complete some of the 10,000 projects...cast more tokens. Finish the dancing songs. Develop my writing past the impromptu stage. Get back into my fighting, which on a good day is an art. Well, on a great day.
5. Why did you choose the elements of your Coat of Arms/device?
Theophilous= Lover of God, therefor heart and cross, and I liked the colors. My first design was used in period.
6. Favorite SCA song?
Depends on the Performer. To sing, depends on whom I'm performing for/with. I keep coming back to Mad Tom.
7. Favorite garb?
Whatever I have handy, esp. any of Constanza's houppelondes. But I need more silly hats.
8. Best advice received/given?
Don't be a costumed fool being snitty about words spoken. Either make the oaths real, or don't get uppity about them.
9. What is one thing you would like to change about the SCA?
Let people be more free; we're drowning in the "right, safe" way to do things. Don't make everyone follow the same molds.
10. Why do you do this hobby?
It's got everything I want, especially all my friends.
