Good parties.

I have a LOT of interesting stories about being a teacher. But since the admin staff hasn't finished up their work, I have not checked out of the school yet--it's not done, same old shit, dammit. When it starts hurting a little less I'll write up some of the stories...

Until then, onto the engineering! Complete with its own insane drama!

No, I'm not going back into education. I'll go back into tech and do education, and work on history from the inside. Time to go become an independent scholar.

Yet another refugee from the public schools...sigh...there is a reason I never got into formal education in the first place--the stories of people like you. Sorry this was such a disappointment for you John. Many hugs.

No, I'm not going back into education.

if time passes and the crappiness of the experience lessens and you reconsider, let me know. I've always got that job waiting for you :)

Glad you're done, enjoy your time and well deserved break!

Alas, all the intelligent people I know that were originally excited about teaching got out of it. I fear that until we have co-op home schooling the teachers in public schools get short shrift.

Welcome back to the field of doing nothing for the benefit of mankind but making great flippin wodges of cash. Join with me in the mantra: "Five years, fifty thousand. Six years, sixty thousand. Seven years, seventy thousand..." Though I have some work to do to catch up with your pay bracket, o engineer type.
