The Tide of life...

Washed in around me, and all the little sand trenches are full of water...
Blerg. I didn't consciously get here, but here I am; so it's time to be conscious. In summary:
WEIGHT: Highest it's ever been. EXERCISE: Non-existant. HEALTH: Ok, but I need to get onto the previous two items asap. I'm having some trouble sleeping, and sore much of the time from not working out. I twinged my back this weekend, and that's slowed me down too. HOUSE: Disaster area level 2 (of 5); it's livable but not nice. Taking some steps. Got some cleanup done today, and am seeing what things could be more cleanly. Got the motorcycle on a charger so I can ride it, and painted in some of the more nasty rust spots on the van. GARDEN: Varmit Cong got the rest of the back, I don't know why he eats only have the roots one day and comes back for the rest later, traps going in next week when he's hungry again. I've tried to co-exist, but all four pumpkin vines, the tomatoes, and the sunflowers all got chomped last week. Got another herb pot going, and the front garden has some lovely onions. WORK: Well, teaching; back to 6 hours/day as of Friday, and a contract around the corner, but I need to figure out what I want to do next. What I don't want to do: be trapped in that last situation. 6 more weeks of Engineering Academy (which can be riotous fun) and then course development. RELAXATION: Too much work involved in that. Need to split that away from other stress.
Enough whinging. Get up a bit early tomorrow, run/walk the neighborhood, eat some grapefruit, go play aikido.
What I want, and need to strive for: 100 pounds less, aikido, dancing more, house in a state where it works other than as unstructured stuff storage, employment and cash worked out.
TASK LIST:
1. Get schedule tool back together.
2. Get car working; sell van. Keep bike up.
3. Clean/Rearrange: Backyard, back room, dining room, living room, kitchen, bathroom. All separate lists.
4. Exercise and track weight every day. Cook more veggies from the CSA!
5. Re-connect with friends ignored due to school fu.
Enough for now.

Date: 2007-07-12 04:46 pm (UTC)It's not always easy, but it happens. My problem is finding the time for exercise/organization/whatever. But the real problem with me is *making* the time to do those things rather than sitting on my butt on the couch or at the computer. Once I get focused and in a routine, it comes easily though, maybe the same will be for you...

lime ridge is a beautiful walk this time of year,
