5 Random (semi) Thoughts

1. I'm not posting much of substance here because it gets up to about 3 pages of explanation in my mind, and then it's too tiring to post. Like how our societal insistence on speedy convenience has caused not just a rise in plant weeds, but in biological sea weeds--opportunistic fast growing quick reproducing short lived spiky things--jellyfish. And not only there, but in the memesphere as well--we have less long thoughts and more short ones. And how that could lead to our current political situation, and also how it's societal. Anyway, explaining that one is about 5 pages that probably don't make much sense without footnotes. (1)
2. A sinus cold is a good way to help you refocus on some of the things you should be getting done. yay! No social things for me that take energy though, and certainly no dancing, sniff.
Sniff. (3)
3. Flirting is good. I need to get my groove back on in that. Thanks to you out there who are patient with my recent reticence.
4. I'm doing other things while being distracted on the weight thing. To change your body, you must reforge yourself, which is akin to either dipping yourself in fire and letting yourself get pounded upon, or changing the chemical makeup of your environment, or both. This will take effort.
5. Comfort gaming: NetHack.
(1) Not that I'm opposed to footnotes. I like feet. (2) But in Livejournal?
(2) Especially massaged, or in kicky shoes. Or dancing!
(3) Snort. Honk. etc.

Good luck with the weight thing. I know how frustrating that can be.

If entropy = evil, then action = love.
Yesterday I tagged along to a friend's riding lesson after our archery practice. They (friend, horse & trainer) worked in the scalding sun for over an hour executing physical coordinations and agreements with absolute ballet precision. It brought to mind my ancient track & field days, but it was even more similar to my advanced singing lessons in grad school. Tone, muscle memory, the athleticism of mastered breath control, hearing & feeling placement "click in" when it was finally right. It was inspiring to watch them yesterday because it was a long-overdue reminder of what I have already accomplished. But the really big draw for me was witnessing Love again. That horse and that rider worked so hard and so diligently; they were in the zone, just like I was in my lessons, and it comes back whenever I really sing.
If entropy = evil, then so must action = love.
If we DO nothing every day about creating greater fitness, we can hardly be hurt and amazed that we still haven't achieved it.
Hope your cold doesn't linger too long.
Wishing the both of us more inspired (breathe!) action,
S of E
