Chchchanges...

Last week of the summer classes; students need a kick, that happens tomorrow. Just got onboard teaching Cisco classes, so am going on company money to RDU/RTP, and on my own to Denver--miss the wedding, but Cie la viest, as is said.

The classes on contract will involve 1 week of travel a month, often international. And...for that one week, which won't happen every month, I will receive roughly 3/4 of what I was making at the school, excepting benefits. So if I can develop another class (piece of cake) and take it to 2 weeks a month, I'll...be making 50% more than I was at the school.

That's pi in the sky, but still, it doesn't even make me wonder. And the science camp, which I just got another TB test for and am going through Livescan for, is paying the best they can at $25 an hour, $30 if I get great ratings, for only 4 hours promised per week so far. Hmm. Which one works? Not the science camp's problem at all, and I was up front, but I will be filling in for them with the excitable crowds.

Woot!

Are you giving up on the children teaching plan?

Students kicked back...

Apparently, the two groups are even more estranged. At this point, I'm cancelling the Friday water balloon fight, and may end up throwing students out of class. Entitlement, amazing how fast it happens.

My Timing is Off

Drat, now that I no longer live in the RTP area you're going to be out there semi-regularly. We've got to schedule a time for me to visit NC while you're around. It's been far too long since I've seen you!

We'll work it out. (It's been YEARS since you've been in RTP, yes?) I'll wrangle a trip to your sun blasted state at some point, I'm sure.
