Jeannie in Denver (currently) ALWAYS introduces me to the BEST media. Firefly video. House. And now, a book by a guy called Charles Stross. "The Atrocity Archives". Fave new author, must have all his works! W00t!

Stross is awesome. If you come & visit we can let you borrow his whole oeuvre. I do believe he is Charles' favorite author at the moment.

I particularly recommend Stross's The Jennifer Morgue (novel-length sequel to The Atrocity Archives), Singularity Sky, and The Family Trade and its sequels. Oh, and Toast, which is a collection of short stories. Just don't read "A Colder War" late at night. ("What if the superpowers in the Cold War had been able to bind Cthulhu and related powers?" It doesn't end well.)
