Wow. It's 8 am, and you're walking around in clunky sandals because you're bored because you went to sleep far ahead of the rest of us. No shit sherlock. STOP WALKING NEAR MY HEAD.
Cranky, are we? No, just very tired of trying to fight with someone who is off center and must have her own way because, it's logical, and she knows more than you, and besides soandso said it was the best way to do things.
Mind me, she's not always wrong.
This whine? I think a nice Egyptian feta, for the closeness to de Nile that we have here.

Events, backwards in time:
There's the morning event.
Last night (Sunday night) listened to the rain while sleeping on the floor. Nice. Cool breezes. Before that drank good scotch and talked about ...ah news flash; the 2nd van got broken into last night, so perhaps leaving the heavey luggage in it was a bad idea. I think touring will be difficult today, but also, I think that this has positive upsides--every armor bag they steal is one less armor bag to get through the airport!
Of course, this is going to set off Ms. Pissy. Sigh.
Last night did a scotch tasting, and was amazed by how different it tastes with two drops of water, and how much more complex when you drink it with dark chocolate. Before that, played pocket change poker (25 cent limit three raise max), losing nicely but not badly and enjoying it until our game of guts, where my aces succumbed to pairs very regularly until the last hand, worth 30 dollars. Before that, wandering around the house, eating mac and cheese and tuna, and destressing from the drive back from Amsterdam.
Amsterndam...cannot be appreciated in drive through, but we tried. Canals, bicycles, laid back people, old archeticture, Van Gogh, Rembrant, Jan Steen...wow. Drove down to the Red Light district and coffeehouses but didn't have time to get out and look, so no joy there; cruised the Rijksmuseum which is mainly closed due to asbestos found in the ceiling. Contemplated the various City Guard paintings, and agree Rembrandt is a genius, but so are others. Ate a hotdog before the museum and a waffle afterwards, mmmm.
Started the day in Duren, negotiating peace between the two factions. Need to stretch more!
Saturday: Wow. Amazing feast, not the food but the initial presentations; gods and goddesses of ancient greece including an actually scary Cerebus, and Deena as Neptune, and Bacchus...and Artemis slaying feasters who stared to much with arrows (made of biscuit? I didn't get one up close.) Pissy Girl told us how a feast should be done and what lousy service we got. I drank cider, and talked to people, and listened to the choir, and went to a knighthood vigil held in a castle wine cellar.
Events earlier: Talking with locals, Talking with local finns, Knight's meeting, fighting pickups, wandering around, armorming up, the Regurgitating Wiglaf, the kittenpile of berliners, the armor tent nap, the Up all night party, Swedish early morning pranking on the finns, Finnish party habits "because it is the way of our people", discovering a new way to mangle my name (Ripo opulous? from Tin Tin); the reappearance of C. Fucking Roguespur; watching the swedes start their midsummer party, dinner at the takeaway (or why John is a good traveler, PAY attention to the people around you.) Fighting in the Pas, in the Pas in the Pas...lotsa stories.
Off to let someone else on the computer.
