I am an amature--I do so many things for the love of doing them. Alas, this leads me to project overload, and I have trouble staying focussed and completing things, and there are SO MANY projects. I need to focus. Normally work provides the focus, or some aspect of group activity, but it hasn't been doing so recently. And, oh, shiney!
Lighgo Party Paloozas, $2 at Borders McCarthy Ranch! 54 party ideas!
Pumpkin. With meat. In pies. Chilis.
Mushrooms. Hunt them. Map the territory and plot.
Mapping. Kite photography. WIth wireless.
Wireless. Borrowing wireless. Wireless cameras.
Cameras.
You get the idea. And now, to go cook a pumpkin, and some tomatoes, and the seeds, and... and...and...maybe take a nap, or finish one of the job applications, or do some more yoga (introduced a friend at lunch to lazy yoga, including the Hokey Pokey stretch, and Warrior's Bench Pose, etc.)
other notes:
The leek patch has onions in it too; they were from the spring planting, and are back. Woot!
Now is the time to redo the lawn.
Last day for free stuff pickup here is Monday. Anybody need a clothes washer?
Ya know, I used to achieve complete cleanup by moving. Anyone want to switch houses for a few months to force us both to get rid of stuff and clean? I'm not being serious here.
And I'm not serious about hiring help, even if I really need it. The sparrow, the lily, the banana slug get by without planning pros, or planing prose, or even clothes, so why not I?

Date: 2007-10-26 12:36 am (UTC)No, wait, that's a free museum day. Hey, if you're a Sparrow, you've got lots of projects. Find a nesting space, evaluate materials, impress a mate, figure out where the food is, hey is that a predator, ooooh I can fly! Gotta mark the territory, hang with the gang, is this place to defecate going to cause me problems? Oooh, flying! Is that a hawk? A snake? A cat?
Banana slugs are the same, on a lower level. Or a slower timescale.
As Terry Pratchett's Librarian would say, "Oook!" *
*Simplicity is not a lack of thought or decision. Simple things can arise from very complex decisions and actions. What, you've never studied Chaos theory?
