Tue: Yep, Tom Stoppard.

Rock n' Roll. Multilayered, multithemed, personal and large at the same time. As CJ sez, though, he's aged and isn't playing the "Shiney! Stuff that in the production!" game. This play has a lot of heart, and a lot of history I didn't know, of Czech politics, of rhetoric. Some of the threads: aging, the independence of rockn'roll and long hair and not caring (not playing the game the establishment plays at all), political systems, the preciousness of LP's before modern technology (and the transmission of music) and the Plastic People of the Universe.

Makes me glad to be American, even if the current regime is bloated plutocrats masquerading as blue collar everymen.

Wed. made it down to S'cruz to see the pages; we did some food things and hung out. Ended up in a giant pile on the couch, then rode the road work back over the hill. I hate road work on 17.

Now, onto whatever is next...it's not clear at this point.
