What are dancers? You could make a strong case that "dancers" are zombies--my sign is vital, my hands are cold--say goodbye to my soul. Weird. "When you dream of home tonight--there is no message we're recieving--let me know, is your heart still beating?"
Although the question, "Are we human?" is always worth asking.
But what is being human?
Being human is where the rising ape meets the descending angel, some say.
Petrarch wrote a bunch of works. Some were put to music, then lectured about last night at Stanford--interesting--then sung. Wonderful! Thanks
falzalot for cluing me in and singing so nicely. And I love the venue. This is a case where the music elevates in multiple ways. I'll be back there for the SING ALONG MESSIAH 'cause "All we like sheep".

Leg is much better, thanks. Still injured, still healing. After this, though, #1 goal is to emulate
goatface and
cathyn and get back down to fighting weight. Life is more fun when you're not carrying the extra burdens.
And along with that? Easiest way to cook brown rice: Alton's Brown Rice way! Inspired bye
ysabella and her kitchen adventures, cooked up some stock from mire poix, made this rice with it, very tasty. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/alton-brown/baked-brown-rice-recipe/index.html
Finally, I need to go find some project nights. Too much inspiration! (Wasn't that a Police song?)

Date: 2008-12-05 12:00 am (UTC)We can do project afternoons, too, until you find yourself with another day job.
Please let me know when you're healed up enough to help me move some heavy objects up and down stairs. I'll bribe you. :-)
I really don't want to go to WW tonight - I've been eating too much this week. Are you going?

Date: 2008-12-09 03:08 am (UTC)But that brown rice is too complicated for me.
I dump about 3/4 inch of rice into my 2-quart saucepan. Add water till it's about 2 inches deep. Put it on high till it boils (about 5 minutes), and then turn it down as low as it would go on my old stove and to mark 2 on my new stove, and ignore it for about 40-45 minutes.
I generally use long grain brown rice because it cooks faster and I like the texture better than short grain.
