I love long walks in the rain.

At lunch, had a lovely wide ranging conversation with Vytas, which makes me want to go have fun in tech. And also makes me want to walk more. After some cooking, tried to head out to see "The Bear" at the Dragon Theater in Palo Alto, http://www.dragonproductions.net/ but the van ran out of gas. Walked back to the gas station and bought a disposable gas can (box with a bladder) and went and put gas in the van. Would turn over, but not start. Called various people (in all of this) and then AAA, which sent out a second gallon. All good, except the filler hose on the box fell into the tank...problems down the road.

Still about an hour and a half of walking in Palo Alto, nice exercise.

Many thoughts, not really worth putting in here...

The best benefit of walking outdoors is the mood lifting, although possibly questing after gas might dampen that.

Carpe diem

Luckily it was not your only chance ever to see the movie. It was, however, your only chance to take a walk in a light rain in the dark in Palo Alto while witnessing those particular glimpses of domesticity.
