WARNING!
they sell memberships in a book club that gives you line-jumping rights. Essentially, they set up separate lines. And the last time I went there, they didn't cut off memberships - so when people got sick of waiting, they ponied up the $30 or whatever, and linejumped.
Taking their friends with them.
The signing I attended started at 7:30. I got my books signed close to midnight. It ruined the whole thing.
Moral? Besides getting there early, consider whether your time is worth their line-jumping fee. I'd ordinarily say no, but given the 5- to 6-hour wait I endured, that might have changed.
Or I just don't attend their signings...
